QRKeeps

Shutdown guarantee

What happens to your codes if QRKeeps closes, is sold or changes hands.

Version 1, 28 October 2026

  1. 12 months’ notice. If QRKeeps ever shuts down, we will announce it at least 12 months ahead, on this site and by email to every account.
  2. Codes keep redirecting. Through the notice period and for at least 5 years after it ends, every code keeps redirecting to its last destination. That includes paid codes and each account’s free dynamic code. Editing may stop when the notice period ends.
  3. Exports keep working. The CSV export, the destination history export and the redirects file for each custom domain keep working for as long as codes redirect.
  4. A new owner keeps these promises. If QRKeeps is sold or handed over to someone else, the new owner takes on every promise on this list.
  5. Codes on your own domain can leave. A custom domain belongs to you. Download its redirects file from the domains page, put it on a static host that reads it, such as Netlify or Cloudflare Pages, and point the domain there. The codes printed with it keep working, with or without QRKeeps. The file marks any destination too long for Cloudflare Pages.
  6. The one exception: abuse. We still block codes that send people to phishing, malware, scams, or content that is illegal where we operate. A blocked code shows a warning page instead of redirecting.

This guarantee is part of the terms. Codes on qrkeeps.app/q/… rely on the promises above; codes on your own domain can also move with their redirects file.
